Walking into a flash city hotel for a late-afternoon rendezvous is likely to set your heart aflutter. When you’re there to meet an A-list star who’s spent more than his fair share of screen time on your home plasma, the beats per minute are off the chart. Add to that a 40-degree heatwave and I’m a mess before I’ve even stepped into the airconditioned lobby. My carefully selected outfit now hangs crumpled and I wonder how long it will be until I can take off my jacket. Before I have a second more to think about it, I’m whisked to a luxurious corner suite with spectacular views (not that I’m looking). I saunter in, focused on not tripping over my heels. My date today is Hollywood heart-throb Adrian Grenier, and it quickly becomes obvious he couldn’t be less interested in my outfit or more interested in the tea he’s stirring. |
